The working principle of a three cone drill bit is mainly based on its unique cutting structure and mechanical principles. During the drilling process, the three cone drill bit transmits rotational force and drilling pressure through the drill pipe, achieving efficient fracturing of the formation.
Firstly, the three cones of the drill bit rotate around the bottom of the hole, while each cone rotates around its own axis. This composite motion allows the cutting teeth on the teeth to fully contact the rock formations, generating strong cutting forces.
Secondly, when the tooth wheel rolls at the bottom of the well, the cutting teeth on it sequentially impact and press into the formation. During this process, the cutting teeth crush and shear the formation rocks into small pieces. This crushing effect mainly depends on factors such as the shape, arrangement, and material hardness of the cutting teeth.
In addition, drilling fluid plays a crucial role in the drilling process. Drilling fluid is injected through the drill pipe to lubricate and cool the drill bit, while carrying debris out of the bottom of the hole. This not only helps to maintain the good working condition of the drill bit, but also improves drilling efficiency.
